End of Year, Made Easier: Teacher Toolkit and Virtual PDs

It’s May and I am sure you are counting down the days until the end of the school year. Between last reviews, end-of-course projects, and testing, you're likely juggling more than usual. At NGPF we want to make the rest of the year a little lighter.

Last week, Hannah shared our End-of-Year Teacher Toolkit, a collection of five articles built for exactly this moment. Inside, you'll find ideas around:

  • Final review and student support
  • Planning ahead and thinking about summer
  • End-of-year engagement
  • Light-lift options with high impact
  • Hidden gems you may have missed

It's the kind of grab-bag I always wished I had in my last weeks of May, with resources you can use immediately.

Add Some Virtual PD

If you're looking for one more boost, our upcoming Virtual PD lineup is built for this season too. The sessions ahead are designed to help you wrap up the year with energy, refresh your toolkit before next fall, and pick up new ideas while the school year still has some runway.

Four end-of-year sessions worth a look:

  • End the Year With: CREATE: My Financial Flipbook!
Monday, May 11 at 3:00pm PT (TODAY)
A collaborative walk-through of the CREATE: My Financial Flipbook activity, with implementation ideas, teacher tips, and supplemental resources to help you drop it into your last few weeks.
  • Explore NGPF Mini-Units
Tuesday, May 12 at 3:00pm PT
Mini-units are a handful of lessons, no assessments, on relevant topics ranging from Buying a Car to Gambling & Sports Betting. A great fit if you're looking for meaningful content to close the year.
  • Let's PLAY!: Activities to Make Finance Fun!
Monday, May 18 at 4:00pm PT
PLAY activities turn personal finance into something gamified and student-driven. We'll walk through the lineup with teacher tips for seamless classroom use.
  • Boost Engagement with Digital Interactives
Wednesday, May 20 at 4:00pm PT.
Explore NGPF INTERACTIVE resources alongside brand-new tools for boosting engagement and bringing personal finance concepts to life.

The Home Stretch

However the rest of May shapes up, we want to make it lighter, not louder. Skim the toolkit when you have a minute. Attend a PD session when you can. We're rooting for you all the way to the last bell. Thank you for everything you do for your students.

See you at a PD soon!
